About Me
- Name: Bronwin Peel
- Location: Palestine
My favorite aunt said to me, "It’s not surprising you married an Arab. You spent your childhood reading about other cultures." Later college courses in social science convinced me we develop different cultures and religious practices in response to our unique histories and the challenges of our different environments. Over the decades I attempted with limited success to explain Middle Eastern behavior to my Anglo-American family and friends. Quick tempered, I sincerely tried to follow the admonishment of an earlier Quaker to walk cheerfully upon the earth and seek that of God in all I meet. I included those who will not look at the world, even for a moment, through the viewpoint of another’s reality. Now I observe images of frightened and wounded Iraqi children and see the vulnerable, dark-eyed beauty of my own grandchildren. You may reach me at bronwinpeel@hotmail.com
